Cadent Gas

Cadent’s new 90,000ft2 headquarters incorporates biophilic design throughout, including stunning moss walls and a preserved planting history wall. The atrium is complimented by two statement Bucida trees.

Client overview

Cadent recently moved to a new facility with a spacious layout of 90,000 square feet, which can comfortably accommodate around 1,000 employees. The company has a strong commitment to sustainability and aims to create an enriched biophilic environment for its workforce to enhance their well-being and productivity.

The brief

Cadent sought to enhance its new workspace by introducing biophilic elements that would promote employee well-being and foster a connection to nature. The project required the incorporation of various greenery features, including moss walls, to create a visually appealing and healthy work environment.

What we did

Plant Plan was delighted to collaborate with Cadent on this project. The team was tasked with delivering and installing several moss walls throughout the facility. Notably, they created a prominent 7500mm x 3000mm history wall, which visually informs employees and visitors about the company's history. To further foster a collaborative and open work atmosphere, Plant Plan also coordinated the delivery and installation of two 4500mm Bucida trees, strategically placed in the building's naturally lit and ventilated atrium.

Outcome

The installation of biophilic elements significantly transformed Cadent's workspace, resulting in an enriched environment that promotes employee well-being and enhances the overall aesthetic of the facility. By incorporating nature into the workplace, Cadent successfully improved employee morale and aligned with its sustainability goals, creating a space where employees feel more connected to their surroundings.
